What
are the requirements for participants?
Participants
will be asked to undergo an outpatient surgery as well as five
scheduled audiological visits over a twelve to fifteen month period
to program the device and monitor hearing. These five visits will
occur:

Before implantation
- Two
months after implantation
- Three
months after implantation
- Six
months after implantation
- Twelve
months after implantation
In
addition, there are certain precautions that you will be asked
to observe during the study period and when using the hearing
device. Details will be provided at the trial site.
Is
there any cost for participation?
The
sponsor is covering physician and surgical costs. You will be
responsible for a portion of the expense incurred in this study
and your personal transportation for clinic visits.
